Know Thy Destiny

Remember that for as full and long as this life is, it is only a miniscule slice of the life that is to come. The idea of walking with God and millions of others of His Followers, down streets of gold, though lush fields and over breath-taking mountains should stir you up like nothing else! We don't talk about Heaven a whole lot, and yet the whole purpose of Christ's death and resurrection was to allow us to enjoy Him and Heaven forever. So let's think about the details of Heaven (the Bible does provide clues) and what awaits us. You are encouraged to sign up for our Know thy Destiny workshop and see these things in full.

Saved, Preserved, Delivered and Made Whole

John 3:16 and Romans 10:9 some up eternal life and salvation pretty well. The Greek really elaborates on the depth of this awesome truth. 'Believe' means "to give credit to, to rely on". 'Eternal life' means "perpetual, on-going". 'Confess' means to "sincerely acknowledge as true". 'Lord' means "master". 'Saved' means "preserved, delivered and made whole". So if you give credit to and rely on Jesus for buying your ticket into Heaven, and you sincerely acknowledge that He is the Master of your life, then you will be delivered through the Final Judgment, made whole with a new body and live forever, well beyond trillions and trillions of years. That is what it means to be a Christian, whether you use the term Catholic, born-again, evangelical, saved, Orthodox, Coptic, believer or what have you.

Eternal Life

We could use a whole website to explain the richness and details of Heaven. Let it suffice to say, for now, that Heaven is incredible and we really have no idea how floored we are going to be until we arrive and spend our first day there. And the thought of that should drip from our tongues in anticipation and stir up hope within us, a hope that is stronger than the despair, fear or frustration that our current circumstances here on earth are causing.
