Casting the Vision for Rekindling, explaining the 3fold Goal (rekindling passion for God, others and self), the 7Stage Journey (Atheist, Agnostic, Seeker, Believer, Disciple, Ambassador and Co-Heir), the 7fold Structure of the organization (Heart, Soul, Mind, Body, Resources, Relationships and Balance), whose all involved and what the 7 courses are for the next year.

Know Thy World

Week 1

April 6, 2008

Discussing Faith, Reason and Hope; naturalism vs supernaturalism; the difficulty in proving/disproving the supernatural; the physical evidences in science and nature that point at a supernatural existence beyond the physical world.
Week 2

April 13, 2008

Discussing the Intellectual reasons for pursuing a perfect God as the Perfect Resource; discussing the emotional rewards that come from pursuing God (a la a peace and joy despite tough times), changing and empowering your life.
Week 3

April 20, 2008

Getting a general overview of what the Bible is, and learning that at the very least, it is an extremely respectable and impressive book, due to its agreement with science and history, its accuracy in copying and translating over thousands of years, its consistency and depth across all 66 books and its confirmation by outside resources.
Week 4

April 27, 2008

Going in-depth and looking at the supernatural aspects of the Bible, pointing to the idea that it could not have been written by 40+ men over 1600 years without some Outside Help. Looking at the original wording of the Scriptures, its math, its prophetic accuracy and its 'winks from God' scattered throughout the pages.
Week 5

May 4, 2008

Summarizing the first four weeks, the evidence for believing in God and the Bible as His Message to us; discussing where Faith comes in after, and greater than, Reason; asking ourselves where we need to trust God more and have more Faith that He will take care of us; making the commitment to leaning on Him and letting Him direct our footsteps!

Recapping the first two courses; discussing the 5 ways God speaks to us and shows us His Will (Scriptures, Prayer, People, Circumstances, Silence).

Looking at a variety of different resources and themes to keep in mind while studying Scriptures; researching what the Bible has to say about Prayer.

Studying the hundreds of Names of God found throughout Scriptures and discussing what His Characteristics are and what He can give us.

Learning all about our King Jesus by answering the journalist questions: When did Jesus do His work? (This also led to the long discussion of 'How do we know when to Fight, Flee or Persevere when we find ourselves in bad situations?')
